Monday Mayhem: New Year's Resolution

Hi. I'm back. Happy New Year!!!

Can you believe how fast 2013 went by? Sheesh. If you'd have blinked, you might have missed it. Okay, maybe it wasn't quite that fast but it was pretty quick.

I must admit that I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions. So I tend to not make them unless they're an objective that I can achieve in a relatively short period of time. And not some life altering decision.

I tend to think resolutions are akin to Mary Poppins pie-crust-promises. Easily made. And easily broken.

That's why I stick with the short and sweet. ;-)

This year my New Year's Resolution was to ring in the New Year with a new website. And not even the nasty flu bug kept me from achieving this goal. Yay!!!

2013 was a year of transition for me:

  • I transitioned from an unpublished author to a published author--talk about your steep learning curves
  • I started off writing cowboy/small town romances before moving into more urban/contemporary stories--both of which I now love to write
  • I transitioned from my acquiring editor to a new editor (both of whom are wonderful to work with)
  • I went from having a generic website to building my own website/blog

I know there were more changes but I can't think of them at the moment. Needless to say "change" was the theme of 2013 for me. As such I felt that it was only fitting that my website should reflect the changes in my writing and still reflect me. ;-)

I hope you'll get a chance to check out my new website. I worked really hard to incorporate as much useful information as possible into it. If you could look around and let me know what you think, I'd appreciate it. And if you notice something I am missing that would be helpful to other readers, please let me know. You can either leave a comment here or feel free to use the contact form. I'd appreciate the feedback.

NOTE: I alone do all of the website stuff and I am not an IT person. So some things I can figure out and some things I'm still scratching my head over. LOL. But I will do my best to add as much helpful items as possible.

I hope you enjoy your visit. And make sure you stop back often because almost daily I am updating this or that. So you'll always find something new.

Have fun exploring!
