Spring has sprung!!! :-)
I usually enjoy all four seasons, but I have to admit that this winter was brutally cold and long. So I'm very, very happy to see the tulips and daffodils popping up through the ground.
This is the time of year when I have my flower seeds started in my garden window. Years ago, I used to spend a fortune each spring at the nursery. Then I got daring and decided to try growing flowers from seeds. How hard could it be? Hey, I was really good at growing bean plants in Styrofoam cups for elementary school, ;-)
And believe it or not, it worked out. So my tip is to get one of the gardening trays that hold quarter-size coir pellets. I love them because they are all in one. There's a large outside tray that holds the plants and keeps the water/dirt off your counters. And there's a clear plastic lid to keep in the moisture until the seedlings sprout. Best of all, the trays are reusable. I just buy new pellets each year.
It's so easy. I promised. Pop pellets into each opening. I use a 72-plant tray. Once the tray is filled with pellets, hold under the faucet and cover each pellet with warm water. Wait until the pellets fully expand. If they don't expand fully, you might need more water. Then again, if the pellets have fully expanded and you still have excess water, you should drain it from the tray.
And then you're ready to plant your seeds. Good luck!!!

For my personal giveaway, I’m offering three digital copies (Kindle or Nook) of the first book in the Whistle Stop Romance series, A MOMENT TO LOVE...
Welcome to Whistle Stop…where anything can and most likely will happen.
The notorious cowboy meets his match…
Cord Lawson instantly distrusted the young woman in a smart suit who’d just arrived in Whistle Stop. She was very pretty and clearly a city girl—but with memories of his failed marriage still darkening his mind, he’s determined to steer clear! But she’s sniffing around his land—land that has been in his family for generations. There was no way he’d let it go—even if the bank was threatening to foreclose, and even if selling could give Whistle Stop a new lease on life.
Alexis Greer had one mission—close the deal on the Lawson ranch; without it, her father’s land development company would go bankrupt. But the word around town is to keep clear of Cord and to stay away from his precious land. What had happened to cause such a handsome cowboy to live such a solitary existence? However, determination was Lexi’s middle name. She just had to keep on trying to breach Cord’s barriers, to appeal somehow to his head and heart—even if it put her in danger of losing both of hers…to him.
P.S. the second book in the series, A MOMENT TO DANCE, will be available any day now for pre-order. Yay!!!
