As I sip my morning cup of Lipton tea, I’m 9 times out of 10 uploading my email. What can I say, I’m a creature of habit. :-)
Come Monday mornings, I’m usually waiting on an email. It seem like not that long ago people were saying they were waiting on a phone call. But with the changes in technology, it seems as though I hear people hitting refresh on their inboxes more than anything.
And more times than I can to think about, whatever it is that I’ve waited all weekend for is not there. Depending on what you are waiting for this can be such a frustrating moment. So what do you do?
I wish I could say that I forget about it and move on with something productive. But generally, I’ll traipse around the internet, catching up on things I’ve missed along the way. And every time the inbox counter in my toolbar shows a new mail has shown up, I pop over to see if my anticipated bit of correspondence has at last arrived. Most of the time, I’m disappointed.
Have you ever noticed that when you are expecting something it usually shows up when you’ve at last given up and moved on to something else? It happens almost every time for me. Kinda like the adage a watched pot never boils.
So while I'm waiting, why don't you tell me if there's anything you're waiting on? Anything exciting that you’d like to share?
