Last week was a very trying week. It seemed like there was one stressful thing
after the other to contend with and these weren't your normal everyday problems. I don’t know about you, but I like to eat my
way through stress. Probably not such a great idea. Probably part of the reason
I’m writing this weekly column, huh?
But come on, food is good. It tastes wonderful and for a few minutes you get to enjoy the delicious aroma and savory taste. *mouth is starting to water* Hmm…I’m making myself hungry here. LOL.
As such I fell off the Weight Watchers wagon, a little. Not points-wise as I was still within limits by the end of the week but I cheated my butt off. I had takeout pepperoni pizza, Twizzlers (the only candy that I have a weakness for), and a few bagels with fresh strawberry jam that was so good it was like eating strawberries straight out of the patch (thank goodness we ran out of it quickly ;-) ).
And I didn’t exercise as much as I should have. But I did get some in. I always dread taking time out to exercise when I have so many other things I should be doing, but when I’m done, I’m always glad I took the time. It just makes my day feel so much better. :-)
So when the time came to weigh-in, I was shaking in my boots. I did not want to step on that scale this week and then have to report the results here. So as I gingerly stepped on the scale, like that’s going to help or anything, I got the shock of my life—I lost a pound. I don’t know how or when but I checked two or three times. It was right. Go figure.
So since April I’m down 10.5 pounds. Definitely not losing rapidly, but if I can just stay the course, I’ll get there. Fingers and toes firmly crossed.
Now it’s your turn to report in, how was your week?
