Monday Mayhem: mini-Goals and keeping them...

Happy Monday! :-)

I hope you had a good weekend. I spent mine working, more specifically revising. I needed to get these revisions done by yesterday, not because of an editor deadline...that's further down the road. I had to get it done so I could stay on top of my other book deadlines.

The more I write the more reliant I become on figuring out daily or mini-goals. I constantly run spreadsheets that tell me how many days I have to complete a book and how many words I need to complete each day in order to meet those goals. It keeps me sane. LOL.

It's a lot like a game of dominoes, you miss one deadline and the pieces start to fall. Sure you can stop the cascade of falling dominoes...if not many have fallen, but it's a lot of work to play catch up. A whole lot of work and stress. ;-)

So today I'm heading back to work another book that must be done by Thanksgiving. I still have quite a ways to go on it, but hopefully with a lot of determination, I'll meet that goal. *fingers crossed*

Speaking of which, what am I doing sitting around here chatting with you all? I've got a word count to meet today. ;-)

Before I go I wanted to let you know that I did a fun interview over at Herding Cats & Burning Soup. If you want to find out some funny stories about me, check it out. ;-)

And on Wednesday I'll be back with an update on my Weigh-in Wednesday series.

Until then, have a good week!!!
