Happy Wednesday! :-)
It's National Puppy Day. Did you know?
I didn't have a clue until I heard it on the radio. I'm beginning to think that there's a day for almost everything. But how can you complain about celebrating a cute bundle of joy. ;-)
What's National Puppy Day about?
Well, I did a little research and according to the National Puppy Day website: "it's a day to help save orphaned puppies across the globe and educate the public about the horrors of puppy mills."
If you want to visit the site, they have all sorts of ways to celebrate the day. You can find it HERE.
If you know me at all, you'll know that I'm predominantly a cat person. But if you read any of my books, you'll find that I love puppies too. I give equal spotlight time to both dogs and cats. ;-)
And since this is a book blog, you know there has to be a book tie-in somewhere, right? Well, I have two books with puppies. First, A MOMENT TO DANCE...
If you're wondering, this is the back cover. And I'm sharing it because it has Java's picture. :-) This chocolate lab is a sweet but rambunctious puppy. It isn't obvious at first, but he ends up being a a big help to the hero in the book and in turn, the hero ends up helping Java.
You can read more about the book HERE.
So if you have a puppy, give him a hug today and let him know how much his friendship means to you. ;-)
Happy Puppy Day!
